With its compact shopping centre, ample seafront parking and easily accessible amenities, Saundersfoot remains one of the most popular seaside resorts in the south of Pembrokeshire. Visitors can walk along the former Railway Street, now The Strand, and follow the disused railway line through a number of tunnels in the cliff around to Wiseman's Bridge, where the coal-carrying trains went inland. A short distance before you enter the first of these tunnels you will come to Green Shutters on your left. Originally built in the 1920’s by Lord Merthyr for his Artisans, Green Shutters was home to the Estate Carpenter and the cottage retains much of his original work.
